1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Scholaris (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). The Service is operated by José Luis Saorín Ferrer, located in the Canary Islands, Spain (“we”, “us”, “our”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
2. Description of the Service
Scholaris is an AI-powered bibliography management application that processes academic documents on your Scholaris server. The Service includes document conversion, semantic search, and auto-citation features. Cloud AI may be used for vision tasks (image understanding); no other document data is transmitted to external servers.

4. Subscription and Payment
Scholaris offers a paid subscription (“Scholaris Pro”) with a 14-day free trial. After the trial, the subscription is billed monthly at the applicable rate (€20, $22 USD, or £18 depending on your region). You may cancel at any time. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice. Price changes do not affect the current billing cycle.

7. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. AI processing is handled by your Scholaris server. We do not access, collect, or store the content of your documents, except where cloud vision AI is used for image understanding tasks.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.
