1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to site operators.
2. How We Use Cookies
Scholaris uses a minimal number of cookies, strictly limited to what is necessary for the Service to function. We do not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies.
3. Cookies We Use
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| __session | Authentication session managed by Clerk. Keeps you signed in. | Session | Essential |
| __client_uat | Clerk client token for secure authentication state. | 1 year | Essential |
| scholaris_lang | Stores your preferred language (localStorage, not a cookie). Used to display the interface in your chosen language. | Persistent | Functional |
4. Third-Party Cookies
Our authentication provider, Clerk, may set cookies necessary for secure sign-in and session management. These are strictly functional and are not used for tracking or advertising. See Clerk’s Privacy Policy for details.
We do not use any other third-party cookies. There are no analytics, advertising, or social media cookies.
5. Your Choices
Since we only use essential and functional cookies, there is no cookie consent banner. Essential cookies cannot be disabled as the Service would not function without them. You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings, though this will sign you out.
To change your language preference, use the language switcher in the navigation bar. The preference is stored locally in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers.
